His Eminence, Metropolitan Gregory of Nyssa, is the spiritual leader of the American Carpatho-Russian Orthodox Diocese, which maintains offices at 312 Garfield Street, Johnstown, Pennsylvania, 15906.
His Eminence, Metropolitan Gregory was consecrated as Bishop and enthroned as the Ruling Hierarch of the American Carpatho-Russian Orthodox Diocese of the USA on November 27, 2012.
His Grace celebrates his Name's Day (St. Gregory Palamas) on November 14/27.
Under His Grace's care is our Diocesan Christ the Saviour Seminary, also in Johnstown, Pennsylvania, which trains future priests and deacons of our Diocese. In addition, the Diocese maintains Camp Nazareth Youth and Retreat Center in Mercer, Pennsylvania.
Bishop Gregory also serves as Episcopal Liaison to the Orthodox Christian Fellowship and Secretary of the Assembly of Canonical Orthodox Bishops of the United States of America.
Metropolitan Gregory also serves as Secretary, Episcopal Liaison to the Orthodox Christian Fellowship and Chairman of Committee for Agencies and Endorsed Organizations of the Assembly of Canonical Orthodox Bishops of the United States of America.

Fr. Marc was assigned as pastor of St. John’s on May 1, 2021. Before coming to serve St. John's, Fr. Marc served as a supply priest for the diocese since his ordination in September 2020. Previously, Fr. Marc served as a deacon at St. Nicholas Orthodox Church in Homestead, PA for over 6 years. In addition to serving as pastor of St. John’s, Fr. Marc is also a professor at Christ the Saviour Seminary, Johnstown, PA (ACROD), as well as the diocesan Consultant to the Assembly of Canonical Orthodox Bishops Committee on Theological Education, and a part-time professor in the Slavic Department at the University of Pittsburgh, teaching courses on Slavic culture and literature; He is also a full-time instructor for Western Governors University, where he teaches K-12 teachers pursing their masters degree in teaching English as a Second Language in the ELL Program. Fr. Marc and Pani Alison have one daughter, Anastasia. |
